Apple Store Scamming

STJ just called me from the apple store to get computer advice.
She was trying to decide whether to get an ibook or a macbook. She said they were the same price. WTF?

Then, she said they told her they were going to charge her $80 to install bootcamp on her macbook, and that if she waited until later she would have to erase everything on her computer. What the crap?

From the bootcamp page:
The software also helps you set aside hard drive space for the Windows installation, without moving any of your Mac files around. Just drag the intuitive slider to choose the size that’s right for you. Boot Camp also helps you remove the Windows partition, should you so desire.

Very late update: Apparently it wasn't the apple store, just a computer store that sells macs. That makes me feel much better, to know it wasn't The Apple Store trying to pull shit like that.

Maybe it was $80 for the copy of Windows XP?

Also, the text in the comment box (when using Camino) is really, really small and almost unreadable. Eekage!

I know, I use camino. It's not my fault, it's the theme's, but I haven't tried looking into fixing it.
And it didn't come with XP.

Well, then that's ridiculous.

And I don't know if you tweaked it already, but it suddenly seems ok. Maybe I just pushed my glasses up or something...

I stand steadfast in my claim that her moniker is no coincidence. STJ, if you pronounce the letters of the acronym, would be "stihj," which sounds exactly like the word Stygian, which means "relating to the river Styx," which is in HELL!
