holy shit I have ogg playing on my ipod.
i knew they would come through!

it's also better audio quality for the same size, and inherently gapless (no pause between tracks) if the software is written right
i put linux on my ipod and they just added functioning software to play ogg music files -- something many (geeks)people have been wanting for the ipod for a long time.

I just wish there was an easy peasy way to install it on the 4G...
I actually re-downloaded/encoded a couple of gigs worth of OGGs after I bought my iPod. Oh, sad day.

a photo is a 4G with a color screen.
i could walk you through the steps to put it on
but the ogg playback isn't integrated into the normal interface; you have to use the file browser and there's no next/previous track (or, for that matter, automatic track advancement: it just plays one song you select then stops) or fast forward/rewind yet, nor is it reading any of the track metadata like artist or title
but it plays songs, which means the rest can't be far off
