(unless of course that was craig being silly. which isn't entirely implausible)

Additionally, did I mention that I love the internet?
one star amazon reviews from time magazine's list of the 100 greatest novels since 1923:
1984 (1948)
Author: George Orwell
“Don’t listen to anyone who tries to distinguish between “serious” works of literature like this one and allegedly “lesser” novels. The distinction is entirely illusory, because no novels are “better” than any others, and the concept of a “great novel” is an intellectual hoax. This book isn’t as good as Harry Potter in MY opinion, and no one can refute me. Tastes are relative!”

yeah, taste is relative. but let's not compare grocery store novels to james joyce here. you have to be on a certain tier before you can start talking taste.
then again, i'm a snob when it comes to literature.
