Why I Like Flickr
Something I always really like in a company is when they can break out of standard professional formalism from time to time. Flickr are proving that even when you get eaten by a big company, you can still keep it human. Little things like this really add up, at least for me, to make a site seem more comfortable and friendly.

On a similar note: that reminds me of the welcome screen in an internet cafe in Rome that said, "please clean up after yourself, this is not your mother's house."
