<rant>so i'm selecting about fifty files to delete in my downloads folder (trying to free some disk space) and I mess up my coordination slightly and instead of clicking the next file up in the list, I click a second time on the previous file.

Of course, OS X registers this as a DOUBLE CLICK, and it goes, "okay, i'll open all fifty of the files you have selected at once"

which of course loads seven different programs which all take forever to load and start trying to throw error messages and crash at once, and even starts unzipping about fifteen different files so of course everything is slowing down my computer so much I can't stop any of them and FUCK YOU APPLE.

you guys are supposed to be the gods of user interface design, but when I have fifty files selected and accidentally double click on one, you could at least pop up a window "that looks like it could render your computer completely useless for some unspecified amount of time, are you sure you want to do that?"

I do that ALL the time on
[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<lj-user="kowchow">') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

I do that ALL the time on <lj-user="kowchow">'s trackpad. Sometimes I'll somehow select lots of files below the one I wanted and open them all at the same time.

While we're at it, they could also invent a widget that gives blowjobs.
